Ukrainian culture in North America has many facets starting from the visible choirs, dance groups, Churches, Easter Egg decorators through to the artisans who paint church icons, make dancing boots and folk costumes. Along the less visible attributes but non-the-less very audible aspects of Ukrainian culture is the art of musical instrument making.

      The Ukrainians are blessed with a large number of unique folk instruments, however, the diaspora has had to almost totally rely on its own resources to fulfill this need for Ukrainian folk instruments various craftsmen have turned to manufacturing instruments. Many of these craftsmen have had varying success. One of the most successful is William Vetzal, born on May,15, 1943 in Oshawa Ontario Canada.
